Shedding marginal 3Bpts, equities trading on the floor of the Nigerian Stock Exchange rounded up the week with the bear. It was a mixed performance among the observed market indices as shown in the index movement table. Meanwhile, activities closed north- Week to Date, Month to Date (by 90Bpts each).
Value loss by the market capitalization of the listed equities during today’s trading activities was N338.320 million same as 3Bpts below the opening value. Meanwhile, trading activities for the day produced 16 advancers and 14 lagers. NSEASI Year to Date loss is -4.20% while the Market Capitalization Year to Date loss stood at –N338.320 billion same as 3.66% below the year’s opening value.
Standing tall among the advancers for the week was Learn Africa that added 26.47% to close at N0.86 from N0.68. 7-Up Bottling followed with 26.39% price appreciation as it ended the week at N104.90 from N83.00. Dangote Flour, Nascon and Mobil Oil completed the top 5 price percentage gainers for the week with 21.60%, 21.41% and 20.00% respectively.
Decliners log on the other hand was led by UBA that shed 8.84% of its opening price for the week due to the adjustment of its price during the week. Trans-Nationwide and May&Baker followed with 8.08% and 7.34% lost respectively while Eterna Oil and Conoil completed the losers for the week with 5.31% and 5.00%.
As noted above, the share price of UBA was adjusted for N0.55 dividend previously announced. Payment and Agm date are 10th and 7th April, 2017 respectively. Stanbic IBTC Holdings share price was equally adjusted for 5k dividend during the week.
