Findings

  • We have discovered an efficient cost management in the financials of Nigerian Breweries. In our opinion, this established the sensitivity of the management to the financial status of the company. We also believed that the position may have been helped by the involvement of its mother company- Heineken N.V Group of the Netherlands.
  • It is also glaring that the giant brewing company could not surpass its performance in the first quarter of 2017, the result has been rated underperform
  • Nevertheless, we confirmed that traders’ preference for the company improved over the year. This we believe could be linked to its constant payment of cash dividend, which has attracted higher percentage of long term investors into positioning in its shares.

Recommendation

  • Going by the above valuation and findings, we have Rated a Hold on Nigerian Breweries shares.
