Introduction

  • This report observed the financial performance indices of FBN Holdings for the period ended 31st March, 2018; compare same with released statistics for similar period in 2018 and established growth
  • Nonperforming loan (NPL) ratio is currently 25.30% of gross loans as at the end of March 2019, and 25.90% at year-end 2018.
  • The Loan growth status posted at the end of this quarter is quite worrisome, as it will require higher loan-loss provisions to achieve reasonable adjustment, and this will negatively impact its profitability level.
  • In our opinion, FBNH Holdings looks very strong on key levels such as deposits, and assets amongst others. Should the management achieved improvement in its high NPL stance, we foresee a rapid recovery of its financial performance
  • We have fairly valued its shares at N10.11 and rated it a Hold, in expectations that the management of FBNH will wake up to its higher risk stand and tactically reduce same.
