The management of Diamond Bank Plc had through the Nigerian Stock Exchange updated the investing public on the progress achieved so far, on the recently proposed scheme of merger with Access Bank Plc. According to the released memo, it has obtained the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Securities & Exchange Commission’s Approval-in-Principle for the said proposed Mergers between the two financial institutions
The Scheme is also subject to the approval of shareholders of Diamond Bank Plc and Access Bank Plc at a Court-Ordered Meeting; as well as the sanction of the Federal High Court. Further details will be communicated to the market upon relevant approvals from shareholders and regulators.
